The NBA isn’t going to get too specific about what it would take for the league to postpone of cancel a game during the 2020-21 season. With the season being held outside a bubble, the NBA expects players will test positive for COVID-19 during the 2020-21 season. Despite that, the league has not set a specific number of positives that would result in a game being postponed, according to Baxter Holmes of ESPN.
That language is consistent with the league’s approach to postponing or canceling the 2020-21 NBA season. The NBA outlined that scenario in it’s 158-page health and safety protocol document.
