Report: MLB's proposed postseason plan calls for one home series, bubble for final three rounds

Major League Baseball is close to finalizing a postseason plan that would have the League Division Series, League Championship Series and World Series played in a bubble, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

The newly added first round, which will feature eight best of three series, would be hosted exclusively by the team with the better seed. For example, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are on pace to be the National League’s No. 1 seed, would host the No. 8 seed at Dodger Stadium for the entire first-round series. The winning team would advance to the bubble.
