Report: Mets legend Tom Seaver dies at 75 after battle with dementia

Tom Seaver, the pitcher who stands as the consensus greatest player in New York Mets history, died on Monday, according to the New York Daily News’ Bill Madden. He was 75.

Seaver had dropped out of public life in March last year after being diagnosed with dementia. He spent the remainder of his life at his home in California, reportedly dying of complications from Lyme disease and dementia.
