The Monday night game between the Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles has reportedly been canceled due to a possible COVID-19 outbreak on the Marlins. According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, 8 players and two coaches have tested positive in addition to the four positives that were reported on Sunday.
Marlins departure previously delayed
The Marlins finished up a three-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon, but there were signs of trouble before the game even began. Sunday’s starter José Ureña was scratched at the last minute, and there were reports that three players had tested positive for COVID-19 in addition to one previously reported positive.
