Former Mississippi State defensive tackle and 2019 NFL draft prospect Jeffery Simmons reportedly suffered a torn ACL while training in advance of the NFL Scouting Combine.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, a statement regarding the nature of the injury is expected to be released Tuesday.
Simmons entered the NFL draft after he registered 63 total tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks as a junior in 2018.
