Report: James Harden taking $15M pay cut to remain with 76ers

James Harden has agreed to a new deal that includes a $15 million pay cut to remain with the Philadelphia 76ers, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.

He'll sign a two-year contract with a player option for the second year, according to the report.

Harden, 32, arrived in Philadelphia last season via a trade-deadline deal that sent Ben Simmons to the Brooklyn Nets. In 21 regular-season games with the 76ers, Harden averaged 21 points, 10.5 assists and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 40.2% from the floor and 32.6% from 3-point distance, all well below his peak MVP and All-NBA form.
