Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters had a panic attack on the team’s flight to Los Angeles Thursday night after consuming a THC-infused edible, as first reported by Andy Slater of the Miami radio station 640 AM and later confirmed by ESPN.
Waiters passed out on the team’s flight leaving Phoenix and passed out. According to Slater, upon being woken up in L.A., the Heat guard had a seizure. Waiters reportedly received medical treatment upon landing.
The Syracuse product missed Miami’s game in Phoenix because of a stomach ache and reportedly was seeking relief when he took the edible.
