Report: Eagles expected to trade Carson Wentz soon, Bears and Colts have shown interest

The Philadelphia Eagles could part ways with former No. 2 overall draft pick Carson Wentz soon.

The team has been engaged in trade talks involving Wentz for at least a week, and could pull the trigger on a deal in the next couple days, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter.

Wentz, 28, is available after losing his starting job to Jalen Hurts this past season. In 12 starts, Wentz completed 57.4 percent of his passes for 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Those numbers represent a steep decline for Wentz, who threw for 27 touchdowns against seven interceptions in 2019.
