Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett will reportedly miss the rest of the 2018 season.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Barnett is set to undergo shoulder surgery,
Injuries are not something the 22-year-old has had to deal with in his professional career. He played 15 games as a rookie last season before being a healthy scratch in a meaningless Week 17 game.
In six games this season, Barnett registered 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
After being taken with the No. 14 overall pick in last year's draft, Barnett was a solid contributor during Philadelphia's championship season.
