Blake Griffin cleared waivers and is expected to sign with the Brooklyn Nets, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
The 31-year-old power forward reached a buyout with the Detroit Pistons last week. The rebuilding Pistons reportedly attempted to trade Griffin prior to the agreement, but a contract that owed him $39 million next season proved prohibitive.

A six-time All-Star, Griffin will likely take on a bench role in Brooklyn for the first time in his career behind a loaded starting lineup featuring Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.
