Shortstop prospect Franklin Arias (ranked No. 4 in MassLive’s preseason rankings of the system) has been promoted to High-A Greenville along with fast-rising lefty pitcher Brandon Clarke, according to a major league source, and southpaw Hayden Mullins is on his way to Double-A Portland. The series of moves represents the first round of promotions in the system since Opening Day.
