Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall was placed on the injured list due to a fractured left wrist Monday, the team announced.
Duvall suffered a distal left wrist fracture while trying to make a diving catch in the outfield during Boston's 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The 34-year-old was trying to track down a fly ball from Spencer Torkelson in the ninth inning when he landed awkwardly on his wrist. He missed the catch and immediately grabbed at his wrist in pain.
