Real Salt Lake has made the loan move for attacker Yura Movsisyan permanent and signed him to a new contract for 2017, the team announced Monday.
Movsisyan had been on loan from FC Spartak Moscow of the Russian Premier League for the 2016 campaign, scoring nine goals and adding three assists this season. Terms of the transfer and contract were not disclosed, though Movsisyan will occupy a designated player slot in 2017.
“Real Salt Lake and the whole Utah community have been extremely welcoming for me and my family,” Movsisyan told Real Salt Lake’s website. “This is home for us.
