Ray Lewis will always be a controversial figure nationally, but in Baltimore he is nearly universally beloved for his role as a community leader and, of course, longtime Ravens star. On Tuesday he took to Twitter to plead for peace as parts of Baltimore cleaned up from riots that engulfed neighborhoods on Monday following the funeral of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old who died after suffering a spinal injury in police custody.
