Rangers Goalie Saves Some Shots and, More Important, Energy

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The day before the biggest game of the Rangers’ season, Henrik Lundqvist headed onto the ice for practice about 15 minutes early and began his routine. He skated in a big circle, moving his feet in and out, warming up his legs. He crouched down and stretched, contorting his body every which way.

He went to the corner, along with Cam Talbot, his backup, and the two of them started shuffling, sliding in place, reacting to invisible pucks. Then he and Talbot took turns in net as a staff member fired shots from close range and different angles.
