Rams WR Pharoh Cooper likely out for season opener with shoulder injury

Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Pharoh Cooper is doubtful to play in the team's season opener after injuring his shoulder during a preseason game against the Denver Broncos.

Cooper was injured during the Rams 17–9 loss to Denver on Saturday.

“We’re going to be without Pharoh Cooper for a few weeks with a shoulder injury,” Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said. “I don’t know how long, but it looks like he’ll probably miss the opener, and we’ll just see how quickly he can come back from that.”

Cooper, who was a fourth round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, had two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown this preseason and was also utilized in the punt return game.
