The Los Angeles Rams are making Jalen Ramsey the highest-paid cornerback in league history with a five-year, $105 million contract extension. The team announced the deal and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the contract numbers on Wednesday.
Ramsey is the first defensive back to sign a deal worth at least $100 million, per Schefter. It will reportedly pay him $71.2 million at signing, the largest guarantee for a defensive back in NFL history.
Rams sign Ramsey through 2025
The deal will keep the 25-year-old Ramsey in town through the 2025 season.
