Clauson, from Noblesville, Ind., started racing just two days after his 16th birthday, finishing third at Limeland (Ohio) Motorsports Park, and quickly made history. When he won the Open Wheel Oktoberfest Midget race at Columbus Motor Speedway, he became the youngest driver in USAC history to win a national feature event at age 16.
