A proud Cajun, Ed Orgeron grew up a few parishes over from Baton Rouge. He and his family were LSU diehards who framed autumn Saturdays around watching the Tigers play on television. After telling Bear Bryant not to bother with a recruiting visit, Orgeron went to LSU on a football scholarship.
