A fully loaded 9mm pistol was recovered from the vehicle driven by former Saints defensive end Will Smith when he was shot and killed over the weekend, police announced Tuesday.

It was one of two guns police said they found in addition to the .45-caliber handgun Cardell Hayes allegedly used to kill Smith following a three-car crash April 9, according to NOLA.com. Police did not say whether the gun found in Smith's Mercedes-Benz SUV belonged to him or a passenger.
