HOUSTON — On an April Saturday a dozen years ago, in a domed stadium not quite 200 miles from here, the Final Four teams of 2004 staged two of the great semifinal games in the history of the NCAA Tournament.
The combined margin that evening: three points. Georgia Tech escaped Oklahoma State on a last-second layup by Will Bynum, and Connecticut ran the Duke Blue Devils out of big men to win by a point.
