His name is Andrew Johnston, but you know him better as "Beef." Or maybe "Beeeeeeeeeeef" depending where you saw him and how much alcohol was involved. Johnston earned his 2016-17 PGA Tour card at the Boise Open over the weekend with a top five finish. The Boise Open is the second of four Web.com Tour playoff events where the top 25 on the playoff money list make it to the PGA Tour next season.
Johnston, who made waves by saying he was going to get hammered after winning the Spanish Open earlier this year, is currently $20,000 ahead of last year's 25th-place finisher, which means his card is secure.
