Peyton Manning said Thursday he doesn't know what the next chapter in his life holds.

But he says it doesn't involve an NFL comeback. And contrary to the rumor mill, he won't be joining the coaching staff at his alma mater in Knoxville — at least for now.
Manning was the keynote speaker at the Middle Tennessee Sports Awards in Nashville, an event honoring more 150 student-athletes. He touched on a number of topics, including whether or not he'd be open to a comeback at age 40.
