Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Tuesday he is "convinced" general manager John Schneider will be with the club moving forward.
"I think he's going to be here, yeah," Carroll said, according to ESPN.com's Brady Henderson. "That's what I'm counting on it."
Carroll's comments came amid speculation that Schneider could leave for the Green Bay Packers after they announced general manager Ted Thompson will transition into a new role as the franchise's senior advisor to football operations.
Schneider, 46, hails from De Pere, Wisconsin, and previously spent time working for the Packers.
