It will take a remarkable comeback for Bayern Munich to advance from Tuesday’s Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona, but Pep Guardiola, the Bayern manager, said Monday that the result would have no bearing on whether he would be coaching a new club next season.
Guardiola, speaking at the prematch news conference in Munich, disputed a report on the website of the television channel BeIN Sports that said he and Manchester City had reached a verbal agreement for Guardiola to lead the English club beginning this summer.
“I’ve already said 200 million times — I’ll be here next season,” Guardiola said.
