New England Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson could be in for a big payday when free agency opens.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jackson is not expected to receive a franchise tag from the Patriots, and the 2022 Pro Bowler will likely be one of the most coveted defensive players on the open market.
"My understanding is he is not expected to be franchised by the New England Patriots, and though they made some moves to try to keep him, it seems he is set to test free agency," Rapoport stated. "Gonna be very richly paid; one of the best corners potentially headed elsewhere.
