Patrick Reed developed the reputation as a rowdy crowd-pleaser while leading the U.S. to a clutch Ryder Cup victory last fall.
Now, he wants to bring the same energy to the majors.
“It just brings out the beast in me,” Reed said of the Ryder Cup on Wednesday ahead of this week's Tournament of Champions. “I just come out and it doesn’t matter. Everyone just knows, and all the guys know, they are like, ‘all right, he’s going to do his own thing when he gets to the golf course. He’s going to probably pop his headphones.
