The Carolina Panthers are revamping their edge for the 2025 campaign.
As first reported by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Thursday afternoon, the team is set to release outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.
Some doubt concerning the 32-year-old's future in Carolina arose after the second night of the 2025 NFL draft, where the Panthers selected pass rushers Nic Scourton and Princely Umanmielen. Following those picks, president of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan was asked about Clowney's spot on the roster moving forward.
"We're still working through the roster," Morgan told reporters back on April 25.
