The Carolina Panthers made an addition to their secondary on Monday.
As announced this evening, the Panthers have been awarded cornerback MJ Devonshire off waivers. The 24-year-old defender was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday afternoon, prior to the start of the second day of the 2025 NFL draft.
An Aliquippa, Penn. native, Devonshire split his five-year collegiate career between the University of Kentucky and the University of Pittsburgh.
Over his two seasons in Lexington, he amassed six tackles and two passes defensed over 12 outings.
He'd become more of a factor for the Panthers, appearing in 38 games from 2021 to 2023.
