Our N.F.L. Week 2 Picks Against the Spread

As absolutely no one expected, the Buccaneers, Jets and Ravens were the top-scoring teams in Week 1. It was a perfect display of the league’s volatility, as three teams that went into the week with several question marks left it feeling as if they might be the second coming of the 2007 New England Patriots.

All three teams should fall at least partway back to Earth this week as the N.F.L. shakes off its rust and starts to establish a pecking order among contending teams.

This will be another week without Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell (holdout) and Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz (knee injury), and in a worst-case scenario for Packers fans, Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers could be absent as well.
