BALTIMORE — For the second night in a row, the Yankees were troubled by an embarrassing failure to communicate. On Friday, two outfielders looked at each other as a fly ball landed between them, and it was catcher Brian McCann and Mark Teixeira who politely bumbled on Saturday.
McCann and Teixeira settled under Nolan Reimold’s pop-up in front of the first-base dugout in the third inning, but they stepped away from each other, and the ball landed between them.
Reimold hit the next pitch from C. C. Sabathia over the center-field wall for a two-run homer.
