Orioles 2, Yankees 1: As Yankees Fall in Ninth, Questions Surround Rotation

As Adam Warren, the forgotten man of the Yankees’ pitching staff, was surrounded by a group of reporters on Tuesday, reliever Dellin Betances walked past and chimed in plaintively: “Don’t go, Adam. Don’t go.”

But Warren is indeed leaving, heading from the bullpen back to the starting rotation — where he began the season — now that Nathan Eovaldi appears likely to miss the rest of the regular season with right elbow inflammation.

That turn was just the latest in the rotation’s revolving door, with Eovaldi becoming the fifth starter to miss time this year because of injury.
