PITTSBURGH – Nicole Kamin has been counted on to contribute on offense and give the Lakers another big-time post-presence all season.
With the season on the line Wednesday, she took over on offense.
Kamin scored 21 points, including 15 in the second half, as Grand Valley State held off Pittsburg State 68-61 in the NCAA Division II women's basketball Final Four at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on the campus of Duquesne University.
“I think it's awesome we've gotten to this point,” Kamin said. “We've put a lot of work in and it has definitely shown. We just need to stick to what we've been doing and focus on the little things.
