HOUSTON — The Houston Astros’ clubhouse is arranged so that Carlos Correa dresses next to Jose Altuve. It is a typical setup, with a prized rookie beside an accomplished star who, presumably, can impart his wisdom.
Ask Altuve what he tries to teach Correa, though, and you start to understand the striking dynamic around the Astros. The youngest position player in the major leagues is the leader of the team.
“You just try to keep him in his game,” said Altuve, an All-Star who won the American League batting crown last season. “He’s really young, but I think we all have to learn from him.
