The New York Police Department released video footage on Friday of a plainclothes officer tackling and detaining former tennis great James Blake outside a New York City hotel.
Blake was misidentified as a suspect in a fraud case. He was waiting for a ride to a U.S. Open event when he was tackled by the police.
Blake suffered bruises on his leg and a cut on his elbow during the incident. After being held by police, they realized they had apprehended the wrong man, and he was released.
