NEW YORK — The series opener between the Mets and Dodgers is going to take a little longer than expected.
Friday night's game between the two teams entered a rain delay in the top of the third inning with a pair of Dodgers runners on base and two outs as Mets starter Griffin Canning faced Freddie Freeman.
The Mets have yet to announce an estimated time for the game to resume.
