The legend of Notre Dame football running back Jerome Bettis continued on Thursday, as the Cotton Bowl announced that he will be inducted into its Hall of Fame on Friday.
“The Bus” went off in the 1993 edition of the game, as the Irish beat an undefeated Texas A&M team that was 12-0 coming into the contest. Bettis ran for 75-yards on 20 carries for two scores and caught another. It would be the final contest that he would wear the Blue and Gold, as he’d leave early for the NFL following the contest.
