Notre Dame lacrosse opened its quest for a three-peat in dominant fashion, and it got some revenge while doing so.
Behind another stellar outing by the duo of Chris Kavanagh and Jake Taylor, the 10th-ranked Fighting Irish knocked off No. 4 seed Ohio State 15-6 Saturday afternoon at OSU Lacrosse Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
With the win, Notre Dame advances to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament for the third consecutive season under Kevin Corrigan. It is also the 13th appearance in the quarterfinals for the Irish in their last 14 trips to the NCAA Tournament.
