Notre Dame baseball had already clinched its series against Bowling Green with wins on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was going to be a different story.
The first two games of the series were played in South Bend, but the finale was on the Falcons home field. Both squads had to travel following Saturday’s contest, but that didn’t deter the Irish, as they shut out Bowling Green 4-0.
Starting pitcher Jackson Dennies was the star, going six strong inning, giving up just four hits, no walks with five strikeouts. Relievers Oisin Lee and Tobey McDonough finished off the shutout, as they each allowed just one hit.
