NLCS 2016: Jon Lester, Javier Baez named co-MVPs

With a champion as well-rounded as the Cubs, it's fitting that voters couldn't decide on one NLCS MVP. They decided instead on Javy Baez and Jon Lester to share the hardware.

The veteran left-hander and the young infielder were named series co-MVPs after Chicago closed out the series in six games. Lester went 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA in two starts; Baez turned in a series of dazzling defensive plays and drove in five runs in the six games.

The joint award is the first in the NLCS since 1990, when Reds relievers Rob Dibble and Randy Myers shared the honor.
