As the world continues to mourn the tragic death of NBA star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others who passed away in a helicopter crash on January 26, sportswear giant Nike is paying tribute to the five-time NBA champion with a new colorway of his sneaker the Kobe 5 Proto, according to Footwear News. Expected to arrive sometime in March, the shoes are inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers, where Bryant played ball for 20 years.
Fans got their first glance when Lakers star Anthony Davis wore the shoes during the All-Star game earlier this month in Chicago.
