NFL world reacts to Bears signing T.J. Edwards to contract extension

The Chicago Bears continue to reward their own as they're expected to sign linebacker T.J. Edwards to a two-year, $20 million contract extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Bears first signed Edwards to a three-year, $19.5 million contract during the 2023 offseason, and he's been worth every penny. Even as the Bears defense regressed as the 2024 season went on, Edwards continued to make plays and proved to be one of their better players. He totaled 129 tackles, six QB hits, one interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries, as well as set career highs in sacks (4) and tackles for loss (12).
