The Cincinnati Bengals are trading veteran running back Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Shortly after the negotiating window opened in free agency, the Bengals reportedly decided to move on Mixon and immediately found his replacement in Zack Moss. His departure from Cincinnati didn't come as a surprise since he restructured his contract and took less money ahead of the 2023 season.
Mixon remained productive on the ground, albeit not enough to retain a spot on the Bengals roster. He ran for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns and caught 52 passes for 376 yards and three scores.
