The NFL schedule for 2016 has been released. The NFL regular season will begin Thursday, Sept. 8, with a Super Bowl 50 rematch between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. The 2016 NFL regular season will end Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017.

Of the 256 regular-season games on the NFL schedule, three will be played in London and one will be played in Mexico City. The league also will be playing games in Los Angeles for the first time since 1994.
