NFL Rumors: Najee Harris' 5th-Year Contract Option Declined by Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will not pick up running back Najee Harris' fifth-year option for the 2025 season, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The option would have kept Harris with the team at a cap hit of $6.79 million, per Spotrac.

Harris will now enter the final year of his rookie deal in 2024 after recording 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first three seasons.

Since he was selected with the No. 24 pick of the 2021 NFL draft, Harris has started 51 straight regular-season games for the Steelers.
