So much for the bye weeks that teams work so hard to secure. Both top-seeded teams, the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers, were upset at home on Saturday in tight and messy games that propelled the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers into the conference championship round next weekend.
Cincinnati will face the winner of Sunday’s Bills-Chiefs game next week in the A.F.C. championship, while the 49ers will play in the N.F.C. championship against the Buccaneers or Rams, pending the outcome of that game tomorrow.
The winners of those conference championship games next weekend will meet in the Super Bowl on Feb.
