NFL players, including those on the Indianapolis Colts, can now participate in the 2028 Olympics.
At the Spring League Meeting on Wednesday, owners voted 32-0 to allow NFL players to participate in flag football during the next summer Olympics.
As noted by NFL.com, a maximum of one player per team can be allowed to participate in the Olympics, along with any International Pathway Players (IPP) for their respective countries. As it pertains to the Colts, tight end Maximillian Mang is Indianapolis' designated IPP.
In October of 2023, the International Olympic Committee voted to make flag football an official sport.
