N.F.L. and Tottenham Reach Deal to Play at New Stadium in London

The N.F.L., eager to continue building its brand internationally, signed a deal to play a minimum of two games a year for 10 years in London at the new stadium being built for Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League.

The deal, announced Wednesday, would begin in 2018, when the stadium is expected to open. Although the building will include a retractable roof and a grass field, the N.F.L. games will be played on an artificial field that sits below the grass field. This will prevent the necessity of painting the grass soccer field and the possibility of it get chewed up during N.
