The Arizona Cardinals will have to face quarterback Brock Purdy for several more seasons in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers and their starting quarterback agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $265 million, keeping him under contract through the 2030 season.
The $53 million per-year average is the seventh-highest in the league. Purdy gets $181 million in total guarantees, including $165.95 million in the first three years.
Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant in the 2022 NFL draft, the final player selected, and has had a fantastic first three seasons. Twice he led the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game.
