On Thursday, USA TODAY Sports was, as requested, able to obtain USC's 2023 federal tax returns. The report detailed head football coach Lincoln Riley's total compensation during during that time, which was revealed to be $11.5 million.
Of that amount, just over $10.2 million was classified as base salary. It also reported $100,000 in bonuses and incentives, as well as nearly $1.15 million in what the tax form referred to as "other reportable compensation". In addition, Riley has the benefit of a housing loan with a balance due of $3.43 million.
As a reminder, USC went 8-5 during the 2023 season.
